This picture is an a mix of simbolysm. Using a metaphor "Horse" for motorcycle, I have made a link with a "Bathing of a Red Horse" painting of an artist Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin. Continental GT, the motorcycle model of the Royal Enfield brand have the same red colour. Al the scene have been exposed with a british flag on a background, that alludes to the British origin of the bike, and british motorcyclists relish this bike as a british motorcycle, although for many years this motorcycles produces in India. But one of the aspect accented in this case that design of this bike was made by british studio.
Bathing of a Red Horse
This most iconic work of an artist Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin was painted in the year of 1912. This painting is a symbol of the coming social changes. Thru the years became an instant classic, and, in a sense, trademark for the artist. This painting have been exposed on the exhibition in Sweden in 1914. But due to the Great War this painting could not returned. Only in the year of 1950, after long negotiations, this picture have been returned. Widow of the artist gave the picture to a collector Bassewitz, and she presented the painting to the Tretyakov Gallery.
The painting

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man
American classics Harley-Davidson Superlow 1200T. In this illustration there are two American cliches, a cowboy and Harley-Davidson, so we call this illustration Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man.
After we shot the previous project with Harley Davidson, this wonderful motorcycle, the Indian Chief of 1941 of release, got to us. I wanted to get this bike for this exhibition. I certainly wanted to shoot a story with it, and this should have been connected with the past. I wanted to link the history of America and the history of the classic American chopper. And if the cowboy and Harley are two American cliches, then there must be something different, from the depth of history. The theme surfaced by itself, the tautology «indian on 'Indian'» was the basis of this story. Indian chief on the Indian Chief.
